Atebubu-based radio station,Burst FM's reporter, Kwabena Manu said the poultry farmer together with some neighbours apprehended the boys with the eggs and handed them over to the police.
Preliminary investigation according Chief Inspector Ishak Wilberforce Nyarko of the Atebubu police revealed that one of the boys who is on the run has the fowl in his possession.
“When we interrogated the boys pleaded guilty and they told us they were four but one managed to escape and he has the fowl” added.
Chief Supt Nyarko noted that the boys are currently in police custody but they have contacted the Regional Social Welfare Office on the way forward.
He hinted that if found guilty after investigations, the boys will be sent to the Borstal home, the nation’s juvenile correction institute.
